I like the video, but I'll admit that I'm biased. What I enjoy is what he says about the differences between the SL1200G and the SL1200GR which is what I experienced when I upgraded from the SL1200MK2 to the SL1200G. Maks brings up a good point about the sudden acceptance by the audiophile community of the Technics direct drive turntables. They have always been a good turntable.
FreddieFerric, before you send in your MK5 for an upgrade, you should compare the price of an upgrade vs selling your MK5 and getting a G model. The MK5 will likely get you a good amount of money.
I'm now off to listen to my SL1200G, a new album just arrived! I really do love this turntable!!!
