Did my Canterbury SE a few times, and now GR once - it's due again! It works great; gives it a nice subtle sheen and helps darken them. I have no experience with being handy at anything, lol.
I probably used half the GR wax tin on the first application. Need to get more. I find that a good soft white cotton t-shirt works well (toss it afterwards). Tannoy used to include white muslin cloths but the t-shirt works so much better. Just use to to swipe a dab from the tin and get to buffing. Enjoy! I love the smell too, which will linger a few days.
My Canterbury GR came new out of the box pretty dry and blonde (much darker now, 1.5 years later), so I think it's a good idea to get the first wax in ASAP. The great thing about these Tannoys is that the Walnut's beauty increases with age.
