I'm a bit tardy in my update here as I've been traveling too much. Anyway I sent the unit to W4S and they repaired it in just a few days and shipped it back. The work order only says "replaced shorted components" so I don't know exactly what they did. It seems to me this was a fix to the Connect itself, not to the W4S mod. In any regards it works, the price was fair, and I'm back to enjoying the unit in my system.
