It could be a really bad combo. As a really Big Luxman fan, I coveted these B-1000F for a very long time and a listening session was a great opportunity. But the combo is too bright. I am sure it's partly due to the super flat frequency response from the amps and extended frequency response with Vivid. Well, too much of a good thing may turns out bad. I think Vivid requires careful matching and may do well with some Tube Amps (albeit SET).
Throw in a few ultra sharp sounding I/C in less than ideal room, it's a deal breaker for me.
But by all means, the synergy is the paramount above any gear or brands. I don't think Luxman sold a lot at the show last year. And did I say I am a Big Lux Fan?
