Default Any issues having stacked stone wall behind speakers

In my experience, it depends. Not helpful, I know. In an old room, with Infinity IRS Betas, the wall behind the speakers needed diffusion. In my current room, With the Strads, I need absorption and diffusion. I suspect if both rooms had a screen in the middle, the imaging would have suffered.

With the Betas, that might not have been a big issue since they weren’t crazy imagers. The Strads however create a vivid sound stage and Would likely be impacted more.

If you want a screen, why not install a drop down? Then you can have some sort of treatments behind it for the ‘critical’ listening sessions.
