If to you, the C22 looks the same as the C2700 minus a DAC, with all the same inputs and features, you should buy one. For me, I realize the differences and the C22 is not simply a C2700 minus the DAC. To each their own.

I own one already. Yes, I was not considering the facade/meters, only the architecture, which both my dealer and my amateur review of the spec sheets report as identical. On the features, the C22 (at least the previous generation, not sure about the current) has the tape monitor I think you've been asking for. I can't imagine ever selling mine, but then again, I have not heard a C12000...Cheers
