I used to be able to fudge a bit on the cost of gear until we toured the McIntosh factory. Dan Graves was our tour guide that trip. As I was admiring the MC2K amps and TOTL speakers in their showroom Maria was at the back wall where all the equipment was in a built in rack, talking with Dan. As I approached I could hear here ask “….and, the MSRP of this piece, this piece, and this piece?”. When we got back to NYC that afternoon we took a trip to the Bottega Venata boutique on 5th Ave. it was worth it.
