We have one simple rule regarding each other spending large sums of money. Right there is a huge loophole; we don’t have a clear definition for major purchases. To me, a major purchase is a new Italian Sports Car. This leaves a lot of room open for interpretation/negotiation.

I usually don’t get any blow black; however on occasion when lots of freight trucks show up too often, I’m faced with the dreaded question “I see you bought some new gear” (she also has a remarkable skill of assessing the cost)
So, I have to remind her “that is the gear that’s been out for months on warranty repair”.
With all the gear I own, it’s not quite a lie. Gross misrepresentation; hardly. I of course, after all approve anything she wants/buys.
