Here's a few pics of my old Gen II system from the 1990's. Carl can appreciate my Krell FPB700 in the bottom of my rack. It was a great sounding system.
That's a Musical Fidelity CD Player and the very expensive Ayre D-1x DVD/CD Player with its separate power supply above it.

Apologize about the quality of last two pics but notice the fan. The Krell FPB was truly Class A. It ran hot. I used two Genesis II subwoofer amps in an effort to maximize my subs, one stereo amp per sub using one channel per sub.
