It seems the KEF Blades (original & Meta) and Hegel H590 have been battle tested. There are numerous reviews online and reporting from audio shows around the globe sharing positive feedback on their synergy/performance.
I believe the Blade 2s compete with the 802D4s and Sopra 3s in the current price range. Though I’ve not heard the Blade 2 (non-meta), I’ve heard the Blade 1s (non-meta) against the 802D4s. Both were in the same room, setup along different walls and equipment; Blades paired with Devialet, 802D4s paired with MACs 1.25kw and C53. Don’t remember what streamers were used but random tracks were played via Tidal.
Not a fair comparison that’s for sure. But for FWIW, both speakers have great imaging, vocals (neutral) and slam (the 802D4s did extend lower as expected). As for soundstage, I felt the Blades filled the demo room better.
