The XA160 would be a continuous 160 Class A running all the time. That’s going to be HOT!
I asked this question due to the uncertainty of my pending tube amp order which has been delayed several times.

As a backup I found an incredible deal on a pair of Zesto Audio Eros 300 pure class A mono's. They consume 348 watts at idle and 360 watts full out. I know the Pass Labs XA models also consume a lot of watts at idle so the comparison is likely valid.

I'm sure for my location (deep south) this simply would not work. It's hot enough in the summer, I don't need to add an oven to my room as well.
