The ARC Ref 6 has been going for about $7000-$7500, sometimes a bit less. It may be worthwhile to check it out...you never know. Would be important to note condition and age of the tubes. Not super surprising to see a drop in price given the introduction of a new upgraded model, the 6SE, earlier this year.
