I am 100% committed to playback from files, supplemented by streaming in order to sample releases before buying. At the moment, I have nearly 90,000 tracks.
My buying preference, of course, is of downloads but I do buy occasional physical discs when the download is not available or is, strangely, much more expensive than the physical disc. When the disc arrives (a new one is due Monday), it is immediately ripped and I no longer bother with any pointless disc/file playback comparisons.
