Mounting Turntable on the Wall?

Thinking about where to put things in my new room, and I was pondering moving the turntable to a wall mounted platform. It did fine on my rack previously, but space there is limited on the top shelf. I’ve found a couple of commercial offerings (e.g., from Quadraspire), but no dedicated threads on the topic.

All thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Jim... I have used, and sold quite a few of the Quadraspire SVT Bamboo Wall Brackets. They actually perform very well, just make sure to install it on the wall studs.

They will support a TT up to 88 lbs.

Mounting Turntable on the Wall?

I had a similar issue many years ago. I bought a cheap angle bracket at a hardware store and while it is not as pretty (or as expensive) as the one suggested by Ivan, it worked. I had to be careful when walking around the room. Ivan's suggestion about anchoring to the studs is right on to avoid vibrations. If you go the angle bracket route, you can always add other supports/isolation under the TT if needed.
I believe that a TT (more than any other equipment) is most sensitive to vibrations.

I have had my turntable mounted in a wall unit and it is great. You don't have issue with the needle skipping.

Mounting Turntable on the Wall?

I’ve been using wall shelves for years, first Target and now Quadraspire. They work very well, the only downside is that they’re a pain to relocate of you ever rearrange or move your system. And as Ivan says, you need to mount them to studs.

Wall-mounting works really well. IIRC, Rega has recommended this approach for over 30 years now.

The Quadraspire wall rack looks really nice.

Just a tip: If you put some A/V Roomservice EVPs under your REL subs, you'll also ensure that any vibration from the subs won't couple to the floor, and thereby, the wall. They'll allow likely make the room quieter as well. Oh, and put 'em under your TT on the wall shelf, now that I think about it. Just a thought for your consideration.

Thanks. EVPs have been recommended by several and I will definitely try them. Thanks again.
