Watching this closely. I have been very happy with my unit. A back up unit may be in order.
|
I had the original reservoir plug go bad on my first unit, when I got the replacement I saw that it was slightly redesigned but a backup there wouldn't hurt. I'll wait to see what kind of stock Ivan ends up purchasing.
|
Like everyone else that owns one, I love mine. Rest assured that I will stock up on all parts that may go bad in the future. The Ultrasonic Transducers are the most expensive, and I’ll buy all they allow me to.
I checked my order history; and surprisingly have sold well over 120 of these since they were introduced. |
I was one of the 120 that previously bought a KLAudio RCM from Ivan.
|
Judging by the sales in 24 hours, Klaudio is the new Oppo :) The new owners are going to love their RCMs. No sponges to replace, no liquid concoctions to worry about. Just drop a record in, wait a few minutes and it is ready to play.

Klaudio parts moving forward
I heard back from Klaudio today regarding parts for service in the future;
“Transducers aren't generally serviceable by customers. They require a specific heating/epoxy/sealing process with the wash basin rubber and mounting plates. The transducers rarely fail, though, it'd more likely a driver board, power supply, or other electronics issue. We've stocked-up what should be a good amount of spare parts to continue service for awhile, but with the expectation of covering existing customers and warranties on the remaining units ourselves. We'd probably need to limit purchases by dealers looking to keep inventory so we'll have enough to last.” |
