AA Factor and Vivid Audio
Hi friends,
I just installed my new Vivid Audio G2Giya's. http://www.tweekgeek.com/product_ima...5361_thumb.jpg Awesome, right out of the crates, they already sound gorgeous. But first of all, I want to thank my wife for her Audio Acceptance! :D In the beginning she found these speakers darn ugly, but then she heard the smaller B1's, appreciated the unique sound quality, saw they had stolen my heart, and decided to support me in the process of purchasing the Giya's. That means: going to another country to listen to them, finding the funds, upgrading cables,... I guess many of your spouses have this Audio Acceptance Factor. Let us thank them for that! I'll post more impressions tomorrow with pics of the unpacking and installation. Impressive build quality and great care, even to the tiniest details of the packing. And now, I'm going to enjoy the music that never sounded so good in my house! |
Bart... Wow, enjoy you're new Vivid Audio Speakers. Here's to our wives accepting our relentless pursuit of better music. :beerchug:

Nice purchase. That is some system you have put together for your Living Room. I am looking forward to your continued updates as they break in.

Bart: Wow! Congrats! How would you characterize the sound?

I love music to sound uncoloured, loose from the speakers, and with a large sweet spot. Vivid Audio offers this from its smaller models on. These bigger boys here add weight in the bottom end (officially >29Hz but I already heard they go much deeper), with the bass sounding really tight and fast (vivid, yes :D). |

Yes indeed: :beerchug: |

Will update. |
Bart... Congratulations on the new speakers! Looking forward to your impressions and pictures.

I listened to a smaller set of Vivid's at RMAF in 2008 and they definitely have a way of delivering sound in a very immersive manner. As I remember they filled the room with a massive soundstage and a lifelike presence.
Enjoy! You have reached sonic nirvana .... |
Bart...a huge congrats on the G2Giyas!!
Waiting eagerly for the set-up/installation pics and more importantly your thoughts on the speakers as they break in and open up. I can't imagine what a fine pairing your Burmester front-end will be with the Vivids  :music: |
