My Lafon GM 70s are in. Numbers 233 and 234. They replace my Cortese which was not a good match for my Devore Silverbacks. My dealer loaned me his personal pair of GM 70s, so the wait was not that bad. Gotta love great service.

Logey....

Awesome !
Reminds me that I am making a huge violence against myself for not buying a pair of those...

Pronan 06-30-2014 02:57 PM

Congrats, would like to hear your thoughts on the upgrade and how the silverbacks behave in this new configuration.

Truemaineiac 06-30-2014 10:11 PM

Awesome

Congrats! Sorry to hear the Cortese didn't work out. Not enough power for you, I take it? The S'backs have quite a range and I could see where the Cortese would be limiting.

Like Pronan, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the new set up. That's quite a change from Cortese & O96s to GM70s & Silverbacks!

Letting go of a hand full of these is where the pain comes in.

Dan,
I am like you. I forget money after it left my wallet !

jdandy 07-01-2014 05:40 PM

Jérôme.......Like I have said before, the sting of the purchase is soon forgotten but the pleasure of ownership lasts a long time. Any way you look at it one thing is certain, audio is an expensive hobby.

Hi Logey,
I think you have already sold all your Shindo gears in the meantime. How do you find those late version Lafon GM70 retrospective and why had you sold them? What do you like with your later gear that you couldn’t find with the Lafon?
Thanks for any informations.
I actually have Giscours, Cortese, but as well several other gears like Zanden, Jeff Rowland, etc.
