XLR or RCA?

Hi guys, what do you think...is there any benefit using a DIN - XLR coming out of the tonearm to the phono stage, or stick with RCA? Some phono stages have both RCA & XLR in.

It probably depends on the phono stage. If you have a truly balanced (differential) phono stage, you'll want to keep signal grounds separate from chassis ground, but that an be done with either connector.

Are you asking about a specific phono preamp?

Hi cleeds, no not a specific phono stage, just if it makes a difference using XLR's instead of RCA's going from the tonearm to the phono stage.

No, it will not; as long as your phono stage is within about 6’ of your TT.
