Please Recommend a Duplex Receptacle
New construction for my listening room should start in 3 weeks or so. Would like to install some quality receptacles that don't break the bank. I would need about 8 to 10 receptacles so I would like to keep it around the $50.00 each amount. I would love to have the Furutech GTX-D (G) Duplex Copper Receptacles but that would run into a small fortune.

Hubbels are probably your best bet at this price point...

Shunyata CopperCON’s are the best bang for the buck IMO. Unfortunately not in your budget though.

I tried the PSAudio receptacles which are about in your price range. I ended up replacing them with the Edison from AudioQuest.

A CopperCONN is on my to-do list for the bedroom system, but given your budget and the number of duplexes you need, I second the Hubbell. I use a 5362 in my living-room system with good results and will install one in my home-office system.

I think I’m going to splurge for 3 of the better outlets. One for each of my PS Audio BHK Mono’s that will be plugged directly into the outlets and one for my Shunyata Denali v2 that will have some of my source and DAC equipment. The rest will be Hubble outlets for the rest of my equipment.

Speaking of the Hubbell stuff - has anybody used the SNAP Connect recepts they make? Looks interesting/easy for wiring purposes.

So I have it narrowed it down to the 20A Audioquest NRG Edison and the Shunyata CopperConn outlets. I’ll start with 3 for my 2 Channel system. One for each amp and one to plug in my Denali 6000s V2. The rest of the outlets will be Hubbell’s.
Has anyone compared the Edison and the CopperConn? |
