Ma8900

This could be in 2 different post areas since I am on my 2nd Saffire martini.
After waiting 11 weeks for my 8900 and then being able to play it for another
7 weeks it is now at my local service center because it will not turn on. Having called all involved I get to wait and see what is not working on it. Fuse, firmware and power all good but still no go this was all perform by my now favorite tech in the world. This all made so much better by my new BBF by him saying "wow this is really brand new." I guess they can see build dates. So here I sit broken hearted payed my dime but only... oh sorry I meant please wrap that rascal! Now I know that things happen and only patience works best, so I will be with stiff upper lip and hope that's the only issue with my new MA8900 which by the the made my ML esl 9 play very nicely. I will move forward with the power of positive drinking I am definitely having a 3rd martini and not having a worry in the world. Happy Memorial Day to all.

Did you MA8900 ever get unplugged while on? I had this issue before when the aftermarket plug worked itself loose while the unit was on. I reset the plug and it would not turn on. A quick call the Chuck at Mc and he suggested unplugging for 15 mins and the plug back in - I did this through the power cord connection on back of the MA8900. After plugging back in the unit turned on.

Thank you but yes I did try that as per Mc. Will update what the issue is once I get it back.

Well with a little luck the part for the 8900 arrives tomorrow and see if that is what fixes it. I shall update which part failed once confirmed for now just waiting.

Back in business the microprocessor in the controller board failed. Everything sounds good and hopefully that's it.

Good for you.

All things considered and with all the hassle of getting repaired, ~2 weeks from start-to-finish isn't too bad to be up and running again. I've been waiting ~7 weeks for a warranty repair part and still no word on its arrival.
