TAD launches a new floorstander : TAD-E1TX-K

TAD-E1TX-K :

Very different from the past E1.
Much more beautiful externally.
Probably a total re-design internally too.

It has been launched in Japan since Sept 2018.
I read several Japanese audiophile blogs, all praised it highly.

Wow...that's one hell of line-up!

Will there be a R1TX?

I read a number of Japan audio news websites & Japanese audiophile blogs and there was no mention of such a plan for R1.

The list price in Japan is 2,200,000 yen per pair.

BTW another clearer photo of it at another demo in Japan :

Interesting. That’s about $20k usd, but then there’s the us markup.

That price won’t even be close to the US price once it’s finally announced.

Sad to know that there is such a mark-up in USA.

In Hong Kong, the net prices of Japanese audio products are lower than the Japan list prices, usually by 10-20%.

The most extreme example recently is the Pioneer UDP-LX500 4K BD Player.
Its list price in Japan is 185,000 yen (i.e. around USD1750).
However its net price in Hong Kong is HKD6980 (USD900) and this is the price quoted by the official dealer of Pioneer in HK, not parallel import.

Very true....on a speaker like this, it's unlikely to have issues so the usual "grey-market-no-good" defense logic might be tempting to ignore :music:

I will say that the fit and finish on the Tad gear is as nice as the speaker ..... Love the black amps

Beautiful design. Reminds me of a slimmer Marten Django speaker.

I know this thread is a bit old but I just signed up to hopefully get more information about those TAD-E1TX-K speakers.
I got a chance to liste to them last week and I found them very nice. Very musical and almost as much detailed as the B&W802D that were sitting next to them.

I also would like to compare them to the new Magico A5 as they are in the same category.

There are not much reviews on it, neither user's post on forums.
