GAIA--I'm a believer!
 

OK--I admit it, I was certain that GAIA IIs would not improve the sound of my new Wilson TuneTots. After all, they are small speakers with incredible R&D that has gone into creating inert enclosures and custom stands. I bought GAIAs only because I feared my wife's reaction if she took a close look at the spikes and discs sitting on her living room floor, and they were the third party feet stocked by my local dealer...

But WOW! Within seconds it was clear that the bass had better resolution and texture, and it become apparent not too much later that these benefits migrated throughout the music to a more open sound overall. One of the best improvements was Bill Evans's piano--it's like I'm sitting next to him on the bench. I was up an extra hour or two last night shuffling between various favorite rock, jazz, and soul--so many of them revealing new detail.

Similar to an improvement in cabling or power management, I cannot find any tradeoff.

So now I'm ordering a similar set of feet for my subwoofer and OREAs for my MC275. I'm expecting the sub to benefit even more, since it's closer to the floor and way more vibration. The MC275 has a slight vibration when it's on, so I'm guessing isolation should help here too.

I invested in a set of these a few years back from my Usher speakers and they made a huge improvement in the bottom end, mids and top end. Jazz trios seem to shine as well as some new remastered rock and jazz. I'm a firm believer.

Another user/believer. Use them under my TT.

Have them under my Burmester B-50 loudspeakers. Made a good improvement, compare to Soundcare feet.

Under my 800D3’s the Gaia’s made a valuable difference

No--but yes! The GAIAs are engineered for specific weights. My GAIA IIs are for up to 70 lbs/speaker. IsoAcoustics has a product selector tool on their website--just enter your speaker and it will give you or your dealer the correct model.

One thing to double check with your dealer if the product selector tool is silent on this--the TuneTots required studs (the bolts that are screwed into the base) that was not one of the two that are included as standard. IsoAcoustics sent the correct stud for no extra charge.

GAIA IIs are for up to 121 lbs/speaker.
GAIA IIIs are for up to 70 lbs/speaker.

BTW, they really do make a difference. I use them on my stereo speakers, subwoofers and also pucks under my Devialet Experts.

There is also the Titan series for heavier speakers up to 620 lbs. I have a set of Theis under my Focal Maestros and they also made a significant difference

Yes, but in that price bracket I would also try Townshend Seismic Isolation Podium.
