F112 V2’s auto sense nonsense

I have a whole house surge suppressor I installed on my panel. Even so, when it’s lightning out or if there’s a forecast for storms, I unplug my whole audio kit. Belt & suspenders kind of thing.

When the threat is over, I plug everything back in and all works as it should. Except my F112 V2’s. Both subs require me to cycle the power switch (from auto to off, then back to auto) before they turn on. It happens to both so I know it’s not a defect. It’s relatively a slight inconvenience and otherwise the auto function works as expected and turns them on within the first second or two of playing music.

Anyone else experiencing this?

FWIW, I was told by JL Audio’s service manager to leave all their models powered on all the time, not auto.

They tell me it puts less strain on all the components.

I experience the same with my F112 v2.
