Hello from Cincinnati

I've spent the past couple of hours reading posts and have found a treasure trove of information. I have a lot to learn.
I recently purchased a direct Stream Memory Player and Direct Stream DAC from PS Audio and learned that my 40 year old amp and speakers are not up to the task. With the help of the fine people and information on this forum, I hope to remedy the situation soon.
Best Regards,
Gary

Gary,

Welcome to AA!

Lived in Cinci from 1990 to end of 1993; it's a fine city. I still remember a great little stereo shop in the same immediate area as the Montgomery Inn (known for their ribs of course) where I heard Thiel 1.0s or 1.1s; great imaging, a lot of fun and a good day.

Some favorite words;

GRAETER's Ice Cream

Empress Chili
Dixie Chili
Gold Star Chili
Price Hill Chili
Pleasant Ridge Chili
and a few others (Skyline in a pinch...)
Huge Double and Triple Deckers & Chili at Blue Ash Chili

I grew up in the Greater Cincinnati Area and love the chili. Thankfully we have a few Skyline Chilis in Indianapolis.

Welcome to AA, Gary. I, too, lived in Cinci for a few years ~2011-2015 while working at the GE mothership.

To add to Mark's list:

Audible Elegance (one of the first Hi-Fi shops I ever visited)
Jungle Jim's
Whit's frozen custard

I know that store in Montgomery and all of the chili joints...I'm getting a little hungry.
