At the moment, the speakers are in their boxes, and will remain there for months, while our new home is being built. This breaks my heart, and I can only listen to music via headphones at the moment, but hopefully all goes well and soon I will have a fully dedicated, much larger listening space! Thanks for reading.

Thank you very much Esteban, I hope that you will soon be able to enjoy your equipment again; I have also had some moments of impasse with the audio and when I was able to resume, I enjoyed it twice as much!

I have an opportunity to buy a pair of Elipsas. They don’t come up often. Should I nonetheless wait for a pair of SE’s? How much better are they than the original Elipsas?

The Elipsas are very nice speakers. My understanding is that the SE version have an upgraded crossover and the tweeters from the Stradivari, probably worth the reasonable premium over the regular version.
