In your price range, I would go with the Playback Designs. It's both a superb Universal disc playar and will support "streaming" digital files up to 384 KHz. Plus it sounds fantastic.

Joe, for your source component, do you mainly play CD's, do you plan to use a macmini, or a dedicated music server such as the Aurender?
