Lumin FPGA vs Roon

Hello, I have been using T2 for about 6 months and now that I tried upsampling options, I can hear a significant difference doing it via Roon VS letting the T2 FPGA do the Job.
EQ and other ESP functions aside of upsampling are off.

Looks like Roon changes the sound (not necessary in bad way). Theres some difference in sound between Lumin app and Roon as well, when not doing upsampling.

Roon: More punchy, pronounced base, vocals more forward but sometimes harder sounding or a bit grainy.

T2 upsampling: Quieter, more relaxed smooth sound a bit thinner but easier to listen. More forgiving with bad recordings or compressed records.

Any thoughts, recommendations, findings or opinions?
