+1 ATR Magnetics is the tape I use as well. They've been offering very nice red reels lately. Looks spanking on the Tascam. :yes:

Here is another R-R that will make it's debut in Munich in May '18: A portable recorder/playback unit, based on the Stellavox SM8 recorder, only 1 speed, 15ips, can handle either 468 or 911 0.25-inch analog tape & pricing has yet to be determined. Limited run.

With the Horsch House Vapor Deck that almost became real, the Ballfinger offering, and now this... leads one to wonder if the open reel deck is about to be reborn. :scratch2:

Another satisfied ATR tape user here for my Teac X2000R.

Not to mention the refurbished Mara/MCI machines from Acoustic Sounds, Jeff at J-Corder and a few others.

Definitely opens a ray of hope for R-R enthusiasts. Just wish too as they progress and sales increase, prices settle down a bit.
