"i" updated for Devore Silverbacks?
 

Does anyone know anything about the "i" update for Devore Silverbacks? I just saw it on John's website. Sure, I'll call my dealer, but thought I'd throw it out if anyone has heard anything...

I think his Facebook page had some reference to this.

Old Grey - I did hear about that update. I think it runs somewhere in the mid-2K range. Cheers-Don

A good friend of mine just had his Silverbacks updated. The cost was roughly $2k. According to John D they need a good 100 hrs to break in. I was able to listen to them right after the update. The biggest improvement I noticed was in the mids, they were more dynamic and the imaging created a bigger soundstage. In my opinion it was money well spent. Electronics played were Shindo Corton 80s and Masseto.

Mine is still in the shop for the upgrade. If you're doing the upgrade, John also recommends the new brass Silvertoe footers.
