We could organise a big AA shout-out!! (Between Accuphase and Esoteric players that is :D) |
I'm a big recreational shooter and range member. I shoot 22 mostly due to cost and keep about 2000 rounds on hand. Lately it's been almost imposable to find ammo, I just paid twice the normal price (pre biden) for CCi mini-mags and felt lucky to find it.

It's just like a drug. Users will pay anything to support their habit.:tears: The biggest gripe I have is that there are many out there (you know who you are) who already have more ammo than I could ever use for the rest of my life, and they keep buying more.

I just bought a new rifle that I won’t be able to shoot until the ammo supply frees up. Not a big deal but it is an interesting situation.

My new 6.5x55 Ruger No.1 was going to be in the same position until a friend remembered that he had a couple of boxes of NOS Sierra 140gr HPBT bullets he was kind enough to sell me at a fair price. When I say NOS, they were in the green boxers with the metal tabs on the corners. That's like 40yr NOS. Now I have to find powder. Probably $50/#. |
Ammo prices
5.56/.223.
I have some but not enough to shoot it frequently at the range. |

I went online to find 10mm rounds today and there’s almost nothing out there

I can find most but won’t pay the prices they are asking.
Primers are reported to be the key constraint. Especially for you reloaders. The ammo makers will aim any primer inventory towards their own ammo sales, especially at today’s prices. |
