Great to see the new forum and to learn of the new version that Emile is launching along with Legend Audio and Video becoming the exclusive distributor! What a big day!

How do you all use your Silenzio?

I use mine 'headless' via VNC using an IPAD 2 or my iPhone 6s. I used to use JRMC, which is power packed and feature rich but for my use, music only, I find ROON to be the 'bees knees' as my good friend from New Zealand says. If I used the video/photos/TV functions, JRMC would handle it all.

I also use my Silenzio to run CollectorZ and manage my music collection. While I am listening to music, I minimize ROON and manage my music collection with CollectorZ. With my Ethernet or WiFI connection, the Silenzio doesn't skip a beat.

That is pretty much all I ever use the powerful Silenzio to do. I want to keep it off the internet as much as possible. However, it is so versatile and powerful, you could be surfing away while streaming whatever floats your boat and the Silenzio will do it all.

It is a Highly tuned PC for your music and multimedia needs. I love it.

Now that I am moving more than likely to a multi-purpose room that combines my two channel system and my theater, I suspect I will be using the Silenzio in even more complicated ways and know for sure that Emile can both coach me and if needed, show me how to do it.

What's not to love?

Craig

But, I don't have any problems and it sounds great and the service is perfect . . . what's to post?

Cool.

How do you use yours?

Weirdcuba 08-02-2017 09:31 AM

Just as a roon endpoint to access tidal and NAS (music server) and cd ripper. Intrigued with collectorz you mentioned, but that's likely more organization than I'm capable of.
