Help My Failing Memory

Does anyone remember the manufacturer of a turntable about 10 years ago. The 'table was all clear acrylic and had control levers that looked like fingers sticking out of the front of it. I believe it was a dual plinth design. It had a black mat on top and an aluminum record clamp'weight that looked like the mag wheels on a car.

I have it pictured in my head but for my life I cannot recall the name. :confused-12: :umm:

Oracle Audio!!!! Just remembered a friend had their Paris turntable. The one I'm thinking is the Delphi.

Whew!

OK, so does anybody own one?

No longer, but had an earlier model Delphi as well as the Alexandria. Both were well done for a suspended belt-drive TT (which I've moved away from).
You may be getting the Delphi mixed up with the Basis TT. The Delphi is machined aluminum sitting on an acrylic base while the Basis is all acrylic. Both are great looking rigs.

Do wonder what Oracle is doing for TAs these days as SME is no longer selling their TAs independent of their TTs.............

That is a very good question and I've wondered about that myself. The Oracle website makes no mention of it.

BTW, I remember the Basis TT's. Very nicely executed tables as well. Something about the Oracle always hit a sweet spot with me though.

The Mitchell Techno Arm 2 might be a good candidate. I had one on my old Techno Dec and liked it quite a bit. The original Techno Arm that is.
