Ivan, Again congrats! Here's my question not only for this player but for all expensive CD players. It concerns laser burnout. Is there any replacement for the laser? If I recall (correct me if I'm wrong), back when CD players were first introduced, the laser's life was up to 10,000 hours. I'm sure over the past thirty years technology has improved with lasers is making me think if they have improved in this area. As a owner of the McIntosh MCD1100, it's something to look into!

Henry... thank you; I don't have much concern for laser burnout. I have yet to burn one out, much less one as robust as the one used in the Esoteric.

Dan... I have quite a few new photos to post; I'll include the relocated P10 in them tomorrow. :ok:

Today I spent a few hours just dressing my power cords. I have a total of six 2.0M PC's or +36' of cable to manage below my bottom HRS shelf. Not only do they have to be invisible; but I need to have 17" wide and 13" deep for the Silenzio to fit below that shelf.

I wasn't sure it could be done, but persistence paid off!

I will also share a few other really cool small details that I did with the Grandioso as well.

Since I needed max rack space; I decided to move my P10 to one of my service panels. Once there I simply re-routed the dedicated line that powers the Esoteric gear to an outlet where the P10 connects to it. Then I re-routed the hot/neutral/ground to plug direct into the P10.

All the benefits of the P10 on the circuit, without the gear being present. Here are some pics:

Here is a photo of the IR eye on my P1. The wire was black, so I simply used a modeling brush to paint a portion silver to help it be less noticeable.

Here are the (2) Esoteric remotes, labeled of course. ;)
