Back in the 90's I lusted after a pair of the No. 33 monos......I'll bet they still hold up quite well to some of the current higher end monoblocks out there. Very impressive.

Yep, so did I. The 33 Reference -- $33K per pair and 300 watts IIRC & HEAVY. Had a dealer in town at the time. Back in '96-97 or thereabouts.

I feel as though I should post something since I've bought into the brand. I'm not one of those people who thinks only one brand is good, but I enjoy my Mark Levinson gear.

I'm hoping to add a No. 519 to my stack sometime in the next 6 months.

Karl.......The new Mark Levinson No. 519 streaming audio player and DAC is a fine looking component. I will be very interested in your comments once you have this in your system. Don't forget to begin a new thread in the Mark Levinson forum area once you have it up and running.

Would agree that that is one nice looking unit. Never seen the interior before but it looks impressive.

Dan, you're putting pressure on me! It really all depends on how good of a deal I can get; I had to say no to a no brainer offer on one because the offer came a few days after I paid in full for my 5 Revel speakers. I thought it best to give my wife a chance to compose herself before I did that to her again. :dazed-7:

ML is great gear !

I own a no 26 preamp , great preamp.
Buying a pair of no 33 , then changing all the PSU caps.
Presently using a heavly modded Aragon 4004 Mkii.
Increased PSU caps from 4 18000 UF to 4 35000 UF .
Also two bypass caps .1uf and 33uf.
This is used on my IRS v setup.

Dear audio lovers,

I have a mark levinson here

power amplifier.Type: ML9

I notice when I switch on the device

that there is a buzzing sound from the powertransformer. Does not come from the speakers but a constant buzz from the transfo.

Someone told me that this is not normal.

Other people then said yes,normal..a big transfo...

I was told that this is not possible with a High End device.
Is the buzz normal or not with this type of ML?

Brad- I need like 10 posts per the email. So off I go I guess. However I do have a 585 I just love. Great amp and I have ran a few DACs with it and always just go back to the on board. They did a great job with this amp IMHO

The 585 is a very nice integrated so Congrats! What DACS did you try with it?
