Seagate Personal Cloud

I have a Seagate 4TB personal cloud and was wondering what was the best way to listen to the Hi Res files on the drive. I tried to plug into a dac and got nothing. I keep trying different connections and I just haven't gotten what sounds good. Thanks, Jack

I have my Seagate plugged into my laptop via the ethernet connection, but I don't know what to do next Kal.
