Audio goals & plans for 2021

I have some fairly substantial plans that will start later this month, and carry over into 2021.

What’s in store for you, and your system?

I’m getting rid of my Mcintosh/B&W reference system which is sad but it never gets used anymore. Focusing on office and main floor systems now. Enjoyed it in the past and having Ivan help me add to it over the years made it fun. Time to move on.

Modest as I just uprated my speakers- plan to finish my ww loom with matching speaker cables!

More vinyl.

My dedicated listening room will be completed in January 2021. Equipment will remain the same but room treatment, equipment rack and amp stands will be added.

I am hoping to add a tube pre-amp to my system in 2021.

Considering two-ways to replace my mid-line 3-way Audio Physic speakers in our living room system. Frequencies much below 35-40 Hz not needed and may be detrimental in this room.

Will be seeking any recs from this group - looking at Dynaudio Confidence 20's, maybe KEF Ref 1's, even perhaps Majico S1.

And feeding our new vinyl hobby. A number of thin 12" square boxes under the tree already.

Status Quo. 2020 has been tough.

If your budget extends to Majico S1, I would suggest considering the TAD ME1. I myself have not heard them in person but I really like what I am hearing even over youtube! In any case, it is worth investigating I think. https://www.stereophile.com/content/...ne-loudspeaker

I have a couple of record cabinets from Symbol Audio on order, arriving in March, but that’s about it for 2021.
