Paradigm Prestige 15b
Hello!
I have been running Dynaudio Focus 110's since 2008, and although I like them very much, I have been thinking about getting more sensitive bookshelf speakers. I recently listened to Paradigm 15b speakers at a local dealer, and I thought they were quite good. The speakers would be on a bookshelf, not stands, and not too far away from the back wall. Does anyone here have experience with the 15b speakers? If so, I would be interested in your impressions. Thank you. |
I took my Dynaudios into my dealer and auditioned them against the Paradigm 15b's. Ended up buying the 15b's and am very pleased. Paradigm was running a promotion - 20% discount if you trade in any speakers. I traded in a very old pair of speakers and was able to take advantage of the promotion. I can describe the sound as effortless, full, and detailed without being fatiguing. They are a very good match for my McIntosh amplifier.

Well, after a week of listening, I found the Prestige 15B's much too bright for my taste. Fortunately, my dealer took them back. Wonderful speakers, just not for me. I think I will stick with the Dynaudios for the time being.

I use Paradigm Prestige speakers in our living room system in a 5.1 set-up for movies and TV.
They are excellent in this application, but after owning Dynaudio in the past I would choose them for music as well. |
Audio 1, I think that the 15B's would really shine in a HT system.

I'm personally a fan or Paradigm... I currently run a pair of 95Fs in my two channel set up and am seriously contemplating a pair of 15Bs for a set up in my den
