Speakers between 5-7,500

It’s been awhile since I posted and like all things in my life I tend to rotate between hobbies and right now I’m back on “hi-fi” .

So with that said I have been looking off and on the last 10 months at speaker options. My budget is between 5-7,500 and I have been looking at the Sonus Faber III’s and Focal 1038s but not ruling out something from B&W. Unfortunately this is my budget which I’m sure is small potatoes to some here.

Amp: MC402
Pre Amp: C2300
DAC: Schiit Yggy
Source: Node2, and VPI Prime
Cables: Blue Jean interconnects, cardas power and speaker cable

My current 2 channel speakers are getting moved to HT setup which is where they should have been originally.

Again, I appreciate any input!

What kind of music do you listen to? What kind of volume, and what size room?

My recommendations:

Harbeth 30XD or Spatial Audio M3 Sapphires.

I listen to a very eclectic array of music, I honestly like ALL music or rather appreciate all music.

I can rock out to Queen, Boston, some mid 90’s rap, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dave Matthews, Mat Kearney, Beck, EDM/chill, Nora Jones, and love turning the lights down low and listening to 70’s acoustic music. I was perusing you tube and listening to other setups I just found two songs to add; Nills Lofgren and Anette Askvik.

Room size is relatively large, it’s in the basement and not a dedicated listening room. I like to play it “loud” but want it to sound good when low.

A McIntosh pair of speakers comes to mind. Forgiving sound that lends itself well to Rock and being turned up without frying the ears off with harshness. Look for a preowned pair of LS360 maybe... those would be enjoyable.

If it's a big room and you like to play it loud then Puma Cat's recommendation of the Spatial's is spot on plus for the cost of the shipping you can try them in your own room.

Wow, never heard of spatial. Looks interesting. Do these really compete with focal, SF, B&W?

You can effectively double your budget by buying used.

Reminds me, I have a pair of these doing nothing. :scratch2:
