Esoteric UX1 Limited laser replacment
 

My Esoteric UX1 which is 15 years old just had the lower O ring replaced to fix the draw sticking problem.As I don't expect to sell this unit which I use for SACD and DVD-A duties I will buy a Laser now for when I may need one in the future. Are Lasers available on ebay original of aftermarket? Any advice on getting one direct from Esoteric ?

Esoteric only sells factory parts to its authorized service center. Anything else is after market, regardless what is stated.

Thanks ,that's good to know.As long as they are still available for when ever it dies..Although I had the door O ring fixed local ,for anyone here in Australia AVgallery in Melbourne gave a nice quote for full service.

For a full service which includes replacement of belts and laser, all labour, test all functions, clean and repack the cost is $390.00 inc GST + return freight

Was that original parts or clone . They seem to be similar looking but will it perform as good as the original lasers do

My player just needed the o rings replaced.I didnt buy a laser yet..
