Green Xmas Cheer

Each fall I make a batch of hot pepper jelly. I'm a great fan and always give jars to my "heat seeking" friends. This season I grew Bulgarian Carrots as well as Jalapenos. The added flavor was a hit and had so many requests that I ran short for Xmas and had to run another batch this a.m. Is easy to make. The worst part is the capsaicin seems to get airborne during slicing & grinding of the peppers and makes one cough. Even my lips 'feel the burn' just a bit and I'm very careful to not touch any other part of my body during/after slicing until I've washed my hands.
Merry Xmas & Happy New Year everyone!!

Oh boy, my son would love you. I, on the other hand, would get “ring of fire” just being in the same room.

A friend gave me some habanero jelly a couple of years ago. Definitely 'spices up' you breakfast toast. LOL

We enjoy with a smear of cream-cheese on your favorite cracker or as a garnish with beef dishes. Works well with a slice of Guinness meat pie.
