12 volt Power Triggers
1 Attachment(s)
Say you have an MDA1000 & you want it to come on when you turn on your MSxxx music server. How do you do it?
Easy, you use a Niles LS-1. It is a device that senses the light from one unit (MSxxx) and creates a 12 volt trigger voltage for another component (MDA1000) Don't worry about finding one at the right price, I have a case of them... Here is the manual, they can be life savers in automation. |
Except it will not turn on the MDA1K... you need to route it to a dumber module and then the dumb module to the MDA1K.
For example, I have to use the 12V trigger from a small light on the front of the TV, which then triggers the MC402, and THAT will trigger the MDA1K. When going from MDA1K to 402 it will not work. But it does work, and exceptionally well - highly recommended and highly convenient, once you ghetto rig it... :D |

I have also set up a few others this way, works fine. |
Yes yes, that is what I meant Ivan. I meant the MDA1K cannot be the recipient of the Niles trigger, but must receive it from another piece of mac gear that will receive from the Niles. (The 1K cannot be the first link after the niles).

If I remember correctly, the MCD1000 turned on the MDA1000 and the 501s in my system. :scratch2:
