The HDMI inputs are a welcome sight (including the output) for multipurpose use.

iirc James already confirmed it is using the new AKM chip.

So the HDMI output, is that like a digital bypass allowing the BDA-3 to act sort of like a 4x1 HDMI switcher?

We have not discussed it yet but my guess is the BDA2 will be in demand as a trade in towards the more expensive BDA-3 for the dealers as the resale value on Bryston gear is very high.

If this has HDMI inputs does that mean it can play multi-channel music? I note in the graphic that it mentions SACD and Blu-ray players.
