There has been some dramatic price reductions. It is not a set amount across every model.

Dealer margins have also changed substantially, so prior discounts are a thing of the past.

Hi Ivan,
Is it really to gain customers in USA, I hope it's not something else going on.

The Yen/dollar ratio yesterday was 170/1. Japan is depending on its exports more and more for income. I believe this yen /dollar ration if it continues in the wrong direction will be significantly harmful to the world economy. I also believe it to be the driving force behind the Accuphase price reduction, not necessarily to "gain more customers".

Charles… this price reduction was all planned out 18 months ago.

Ivan I hear what you are saying but I think a yen of 170 is unheard of in recent history. Any unit Accuphase sells even at a 25% price reduction will result in a large increase in profit margin, don't you think?

Nope, the pricing is not affected the way you think.

Good to hear. Also the yen is at 147.8 today. I must have heard incorrectly yesterday.
