Thanks...time will tell if it was a smart move. My friend was so sure they were a big step forward, he promised me he would buy them if I didn't like them. I didn't like the first series because I thought they were too forward sounding. The PL 500s are new and he swears they are very smooth and totally different from the first series. I haven't heard the new Platinum MAs, so I was going by what I've heard from the earlier versions. Sounds like it's a no risk proposition for you thanks to your friend's generous offer of support. Look forward to your comments on them, from the show reports they should be great!

Driving them with the 625 S2 and your other Rowland gear will certainly be giving them every possible advantage to sound superb!

I really like the synergy with my McIntosh gear, but I have the first generation PL's (PL100,PL200,PL150,PL300,PL350, and PL INWALL).
