No question, it’s Niagara all the way.

The McIntosh would be a good visual match with your other components, however the Niagara will perform at a higher level.

I think it's difficult to answer your question, in part because power quality can vary so much from one location to another, so what works best in your system may not work the same in another.

I'm not familiar with the AQ, but I think the Mac may offer some switching options - such as selecting which outlets are switched and when they are energized - that the AQ may not. I don't know if that's important to you.

I commiserate. I'm 5 weeks in on my MC1502 and I'm told it won't be until March. :tears:

Deliveries keep getting pushed longer and longer. I waited 12 for my men220.

Get Shunyata Venom V16 power distributor....it's better than either of those two.

Plus, it has a sophisticated ground-plane noise reduction (GP-NR) stem as well.

Look at all those big-*ssed coils/chokes/inductors, whatever the frick they are, inside the Niagara 5000...gaaaahhh!!!

Trust me, you don't want these inside a power distributor....:nono:

Just ask MasterLu, he's got a couple Venom V16 power distributors he's been using; they're...great.

Had one here a while back for shooting the product shots for it (which are in the Shunyata ad in the current issue of TAS, BTW). Trust me when I say, it is...VERY impressive.

Plus MasterLu can get you one at a great price; at less than half the price of the MPC1500 or Niagara 5000. Put the savings into a good Shunyata XC power cable for it.
