It seems like a lot of companies are working toward this type of all-in-one streaming DAC/pre-amp/headphone amp. The dCS Bartok, Aurender A30, Gold Note DS-10, Mytek Manhattan II, Matrix Audio Element X, etc are all recent releases with similar functionality. I'd be interested to see how functional the Boulder Control app is, though. If the control app isn't functional/intuitive then it kind of defeats the purpose of the all-in-one unit.

It lists Roon Endpoint as well as the Boulder Control App.

It mentions that the digital section is derived from the 866. If the performance Ive experienced with the 866 control app is any indication, the interface is executed very well. As a Roon endpoint, the 866 is killer. You can even power on/power off from within Roon! The standalone Boulder app works wonderfully, switching between analog and digital inputs is a breeze. Each one has its own volume trim controls from within the app, volume, etc. Kudos to Boulder. The form factor looks really neat as well. Availability? Why am I even asking? I’m probably the only person who was so impressed with the 866 that I bought a second one LOL. Peace.
