BAT VK-76se tube amps
I see that MO-FI distribution is selling BAT gear now and has a new amp, VK-76se. Its an upgrade of the 75se and is said to be somewhere between the older 75se and the REX amplifier. Look forward to hearing more about these.
I have been in major sellers remorse ever since selling my REX monoblocks. So much so that I picked up a nice pr. of VK-150se amps. I think a pr. of the 76se amps could be in my future. |
Fully understand. Also suffering 'seller's remorse'. Ah, well. Hindsight is perfect.

The VK-76SE has this tube configuration:
4 X 6H30 tubes for the input stage 6 X 6SN7 tubes for the driver stage 4 X 6C33C tubes for the output stage The VK-75SE and Rex amps only had 2 X 6H30 tubes for the input stage. The VK-76SE is missing the 2 X 6V6 tubes found in the VK-75SE and Rex amps. Otherwise, all of these models have 6 X 6SN7 tubes for the driver stage and 4 X 6C33C tubes for the output stage. The Rex II amp has 4 X 6H30, 2 X 6V6, 6 X 6SN7 and 4 X 6C33C. |
