110th Anniversary Products

Denon has announced four new anniversary products. I am super excited about the DL-A110 phono cartridge!

It’s a DL-103 in an SME headshell.

Ya, I know. I'm a sucker for anything limited edition. Thanks for talking me out of wasting money on silly stuff...lol.

No worries - I thought that maybe Denon had finally decided to improve on their classic DL-103, until I read the fine print. If I had an SME compatible arm I’d go for it.

Wow, Denon and Marantz are really pumping out some nice stuff lately. I am really curious about the integrated amp.

I purchased the Denon AVR-A100 100th Anniversary receiver after it came out and am still using it for HT duties. It's been a fantastic receiver and still sounds great. The new 110th Anniversary receiver looks amazing but it's definitely a lot more $$ than the one I bought. I might spring for the Marantz SR-8015 instead when I'm ready to upgrade since it looks like a lot better value, and I don't have a need for 13.2 channels...

It certainly looks nice. The price bump may be because they pushed the
development to be 8K compatible. They probably had to push on the
features in order to name it the 110th Anniversary. One would assume that
future products will benefit and thus the price may come down.

This Denon PMA-A110 Integrated amp could be something very special..

I love the color of these new Denon pieces. It's at least as nice as the glossy piano finish of the 100th anniversary pieces they had, imo

The review doesn't exactly say that.
Nevertheless, also here in Europe these products are reviewed very favourably.
Especially the SACD player gets very good marks.

Their 3910 was certainly near the top of the heap at the start of this century. And quite reliable. My grand-daughter still uses my 2910 when forced to listen to digital music. Been running well for almost 20yr.

This is a beast and a beautiful piece of engineering. Very reasonably priced on the second hand market.

Wonder how Masimo is doing with their audio companies?
