The Importance of Cleaning Electrical Connections on older preamps
Recently I put my old but trusty PS Audio IV back into service for preamp duties into my new Hafler Transnova P3100 power amp.
Since the PS Audio IV had not been used in many years it was important to open it up and liberally spay Electronic Cleaner on all possible points of electrical contact. I ended up having to do this process twice to get everything right electrically and SQ up to standards. This made up wonder how often others here clean their system electrical contacts? |

I do a ‘spring cleaning’ every year. I exercise all the cables and connections, making sure everything is tight and clean. I think it makes an audible difference.

I've used CRC QD Contact Cleaner upon occasion.
