You are right. It is useful when figuring out just how much amplifier you need (or think you need :))

That appears to work 'reasonably well'. I plugged in 92db, 3meter distance and 3db of headroom and got 45wpc for the 88db Duetto. My INT-25, when measured by JA during the Stereophile review, put out 50wpc @ 8ohm before moving into distortion (1% THD). I'm guessing that it was pretty much pumping out about all its has to give at the 92db SPL. I normally listen with volume at 25-35 (out of a total of 63) and am at 75db SPL, give or take, depending on the music.
